After spending a decade in Montana, where drive-through coffee shops are a staple of everyday life, our family made the decision to relocate to Tennessee nearly three years ago. We wanted to be closer to our three sons and growing number of grandchildren — and in doing so, found the perfect opportunity to bring a piece of Montana with us.
Inspired by our daughters' love for quality coffee and quick service, we launched The Java Drip, our first drive-through coffee shop, in April 2023. The community response was more than we could’ve hoped for, and just over a year later, we proudly opened our second location in July 2024. This new space allowed us to expand our menu beyond coffee to include handcrafted sandwiches, crispy fries, and creamy ice cream — all made with the same level of care and intention.
You’ll find us nestled within the historic Cumberland Mountain General Store, where tradition and hospitality meet. We’re a truly family-run business — three of our children are hands-on every day, and we’re grateful for the small but mighty team who help us serve our customers with heart.
What sets us apart? At The Java Drip, we believe in doing things the right way — not the fast way. Our food is simple, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Our burgers are a perfect example: we hand-form raw patties, smash them fresh on the grill, and serve them without any unnecessary fillers or gimmicks. Much of what we offer is handmade from scratch, with no shortcuts and no extra junk — just real food made with real care.
